The 5 types of Assault Systems
Assault Systems are Gears that can only be used by the Interceptor Javelin. Assault Systems are considered Gear 2.
Note: Assault System is mapped to the Ability 2 Key in the game settings. It is simply called Gear 2 or Gear 2 button henceforth and throughout the wiki.
There are only 5 types of Assault Systems. Each type can be classified under two forms: Lower Forms and Upgraded Forms.
Assault Systems in Lower Form will not exceed a rarity of Epic. Upgraded Assault Systems will not have a rarity below Masterwork. The primary difference between the two types is that each Lower Form can have more than one upgraded Form.

Assault Systems can be obtained in several ways.

Not all Upgraded Assault Systems can be obtained in every mentioned way below. Check their individual pages for more details.

- Crafting

Inscriptions and Sigils
The following Inscriptions increase Gear related combat features:
- Gear Damage: Increases Gear Damage.
- Damage: Increased all damage including gear damage.
- Blast Damage: Increases all blast damage including that of gear, only if the Gear does Blast Damage.
- Weak Point Damage: Increases Weak Point Damage if the gear can target weak points.
- Fire/Ice/Electric/Acid Damage: Increases damage if the gear does the mentioned type of damage.
- Physical Damage: Increases any Physical Damage (Impact or Acid) done by the gear.
- Gear Recharge Rate: Increases gear recharge rate.
- Gear 2 Damage: Increases damage of Gear 2.
- Gear 2 Recharge Rate: Increases recharge rate of Gear 2.
- Gear Charges: Increases number of charges available on the gear.
The Following Sigils increase Gear related Combat Features:
- Gear Sigil: Decreases Gear Recharge Time.
- Acid Sigil/Fire Sigil/Ice Sigil/Lightning Sigil: Increases damage and status effect value if the gear does the mentioned type of damage.
Salvage
Assault Systems can be salvaged to obtain various amounts of crafting items. Depending on the rarity of the gear, the salvage will yield different number of resources and different rarity of embers. The following items can be received through salvage:
- Chimeric Compounds
- Chimeric Alloy
- Interceptor Parts
- Embers: Uncommon/Rare/Epic/Masterwork
