Everyone who was anyone at the Emperor's Ball last week was wearing a cape. From long and flowing to short and sweet, capes are the hot fashion accessory of the season. While a Storm javelin's cape is necessary for flight stability, those that graced the indigo carpets of the palace were created for maximum delight. Lord Roye wore a fanned and flowing golden cape. Lady Teresan was elegant in a Saurian Pink swathe as she chatted with Praxis Sklae, who wore a glittering black. It is only a matter of time before tablecloths and curtains are re-purposed to keep up with this modern aesthetic. I know this columnist is very happy she kept her baby blanket, which will look daring with oculates and boots.

Years ago, the Royal Family was plunged into the depths of sorrow when Cardea Dell disappeared on a mapping mission near the Emerald Abyss. Now their happiness has returned as their dear Cardea has been found alive! While Antium Chit-Chat  has been unable to reach Dell for comment, the palace is overjoyed at the news as Antium awaits what is sure to be her immediate arrival. Dell is now fifth in line for the throne of Antium, making her one of the most eligible women in Bastion.

Tensions ran high last week when Flaxia Dell, cousin of the Emperor, and Imperator Marjan showed up for the Lancing tournament wearing a strikingly similar Interceptor design. Dark purple and silver helmets with swirling blue waves cascading over the right shoulder and onto the boosters. An icy chill ran through the crowd when the two ran into one another in the royal box. So who wore it best, In this columnist's opinion, Imperator Marjan's silhouette cut a much finer figure than Flaxia, until she removed her helmet that is. No one has better hair than Flaxia Dell.

It has been confirmed by royal insiders that Lady Adaxia Miravala Dell, one of the most eligible members of the royal family, is no longer living at the palace. For a week, sources have claimed she was sent away for military deployment at an unknown location.

A palace statement now states that "Lady Adaxia is a wonderful woman and we wish her all the best in her new life as a Captain with the Sentinels. We are sure she'll do us proud." Considering the scandal Adaxia heaped upon the palace in recent months, she'll have her work cut out for her. Good luck, Adaxia. Wherever you are.
