Soothing Touch is an upgraded Anvil. It is a Marksman Rifle that hits hard, with a slight kickback. Since Marksman Rifles are essentially supposed to behave like Sniper Rifles without scope, the weak point damage multiplier of 1.75 gives them an effective boost to the damage done to the enemy weak points.
Its masterwork perk provides the damage multiplier to other weapons that can do weak point damage when it is active.


This item has a special ability, which is a procedural perk that can be activated by performing an action mentioned in its masterwork perk.
Masterwork Perk: Striker's Balance: Hits reduce recoil by 50%. Stacks to 3 for 5 seconds.

This rifle has an ember connection that allows it to react to nerve impulses that travel from the warrior to the javelin's electrical systems. As the person gains confidence on a hit streak, the rifle settles down and lessens its recoil. Sentinel Commanders like to get this weapon in the hands of green lancers. It has a way of settling nerves.

Blueprint and Crafting

Soothing Touch is an item that can be crafted. It requires different amounts of resources depending upon its rarity. Complete the requirement in Blueprint Acquisition to unlock the Blueprint. Then craft the item in the Forge using the resources.
Unlocked blueprints can be found in the Craft tab located under the appropriate combat equipment slot (Weapon/Gear/Component) of a javelin in the loadouts tab of the Forge.
