Legendary Enemies are tougher than regular enemies. They have a larger health pool and can do more damage than their other counterparts. They are significantly stronger than other enemy rarities, but the Bosses.

All factions have legendary enemies. Certain factions such as Chimera have exclusive legendary enemies like the Bristleback, or Fauna, like The Corrupt Ursix . These enemies are restricted to periods of intense Shaper activity, such as Cataclysms and Echoes of Reality or during certain times of the year.

The easiest way to recognize an elite enemy is by the word Legendary in their names. however, not all legendary enemies have the rarity prefix on their names. The best way is to compare the enemy rarity icon located above the health bar.

Behavior

Legendary enemies have much higher health, so they are difficult to deal with without a proper build.

They also do significantly higher damage than their regular or elite counterparts.

Feats and Bonuses

Defeating Legendary Enemies helps complete the Legendary Slayer Feat, which in turn can award medals and experience bonuses to the Freelancer.

Legendary Enemies marked with drop loot rewards in any game mode. Legendary enemies also have a higher chance of dropping loot.
